The Seattle Kraken have a few members of their squad that could potentially be considered the Most Valuable Player. Before a single game has been played, let's take a look at who should be the Kraken's MVP of 2024-25.

Jared McCann

Jared McCann is no stranger to being this team's Most Valuable Player, as he has carried this franchise since its inaugural season of 2021-22. No one has been able to match his impact on the ice, his statistics and his leadership of the younger players on this team.

It is safe to say that the season begins and ends with the success of McCann. If we are being honest, in addition to being the MVP this upcoming season, he should be given another award, as the second captain in Kraken history.

Matty Beniers

Fresh off of a new deal, Matty Beiners has a chance to shut up all of those who believe that the Kraken spent too much money on him in this new deal. After a shaky start to his career, if he can set some career highs or maybe eclipse some franchise records, he can win over the hearts of those who ridicule him.

As the first-line center, he is the only player on this roster who can control a majority of the game himself. There is no doubt he has the skill to be one of the best players on this team, he just has to put together a complete year to prove it.

Joey Daccord

Personally, this is my candidate for the Most Valuable Player of 2024-25. goaltender Joey Daccord is entering the final year of his contract, which means he is playing for his livelihood. Depending on his play, he can make or break the Kraken's chances of making the playoffs.

Daccord has continued to prove that he can be a winner. He won his way out of the AHL, won the starting goaltender spot over Philipp Grubauer, and will win the Most Valuable Player award for the Kraken in 2024-25. If he can keep his momentum going from last season, he can surely do it.
