On Monday, Nov. 2, every National Hockey League (NHL) team unveiled their 2026-27 Hometown Remix. This was an initiative the NHL announced during the offseason, in which every team would receive a new jersey design.

Each team has been posting mini teasers, but now we have the official jersey launch. The Kraken released theirs, with the rest of the league at 7 AM PT. The most immediate thing one notices about the jersey is the anchor front and center.

Fans have been asking for the anchor forever

In their sixth season in the league, the Kraken are giving the fans what they want: the anchor as the main crest on the jersey. The anchor has been Seattle's secondary logo since they unveiled their jerseys in their inaugural season. This is their fourth jersey launch since joining the NHL, and it puts the anchor at the forefront.

The jersey itself is heavily inspired by the Kraken arena's nickname, "The Deep." The off-white anchor is set on a dark, navy blue background. The color gives the same vibe of a deep-sea creature, which is what the Kraken are going for.

The teal stripe around the arms on the sleeves is a nice touch to the Kraken's regular teal in the logo on their regular jerseys.

There have been some fans who are not happy with the overall Hometown Remix jerseys, but the Kraken really hit the mark. Seattle listened to their fans and gave them what they've been asking for since the beginning, the anchor on the front.

Seattle's branding remains one of the best in the NHL, and they continue to prove that with their Hometown Remix launch.

The Kraken will wear these jerseys six times throughout the season, with the first game being on Wednesday, Nov. 4, when the Kraken host the Calgary Flames. After that game, Seattle will wear these jerseys on Nov. 28 against the Edmonton Oilers, Jan. 2 against the New York Islanders, Jan. 3 against the Vancouver Canucks, and Feb. 13 and March 15, when they host the St. Louis Blues.
