Grading Kraken Trades After the NHL Trade Deadline

The Seattle Kraken roster looks much different after a very busy NHL trade deadline. 

Seattle made six trades before the deadline, adding a total of $6 million in cap space. Four regular forwards and two regular defensemen were moved, making way for some of the younger pieces in place. As the struggling Kraken look ahead to year two, here are the deals that they made over the past week.

Calgary Flames

Calgary Acquires: F Calle Jarnkrok (50% retained)

Seattle Acquires: 2nd round pick, 3rd round pick, 7th round pick

Toronto Maple Leafs

Toronto Acquires: D Mark Giordano (50% retained), F Colin Blackwell

Seattle Acquires: 2nd round pick, 2nd round pick, 3rd round pick

Nashville Predators

Nashville Acquires: D Jeremy Lauzon

Seattle Acquires: 2nd round pick

Winnipeg Jets

Winnipeg Acquires: F Mason Appleton

Seattle Acquires: 4th round pick

Washington Capitals

Washington Acquires: F Marcus Johansson (50% retained)

Seattle Acquires: F Daniel Sprong, 4th round pick, 6th round pick

Minnesota Wild

Minnesota Acquires: Future Considerations

Seattle Acquires: F Victor Rask (50% retained)
