Blackwell is the 56th ranked asset on TSN’s trade board with a week to go until deadline day. The 28-year-old has 8 goals and 16 points through 37 games this season. He missed the beginning of the year while recovering from a lower-body injury he suffered over the summer. Blackwell is coming off a career-best campaign with the New York Rangers in 2020-21, where he put together 12 goals and 22 points in 47 games. If he finishes the season strong, he could top those totals with Seattle or whatever team he joins at the deadline.
Blackwell could fit in with several wild-card teams looking to add offense at the deadline. Possible suitors include the Los Angeles Kings, Dallas Stars, and Vancouver Canucks.
